We’ve all seen / read the Harry Potter series, so we were excited when WB Games needed help developing the key art and tagline for their big AAA Wizarding World game. But we quickly found a problem. We’ve all seen / read the Harry Potter series.

Gamers have played as Harry Potter across countless titles. They’ve grown up, and are looking for a more mature game where they can become the hero of their own story. So we created imagery and a tagline to live up to that power fantasy.

 

DOT YOUR EYES OF NEWT AND CROSS YOUR SLYTHERINS

We worked closely with the developers to get the details right. If we didn’t, the fans would curse us. Literally. Knowing they would pick things apart, we hid small easter eggs in the artwork, from the Womping Willow to a family of Graphorns. The campaign was well received. The creator of the Wizarding World? Not so much…
